Board of Directors
Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County's (CAP-HC's) Board of Directors is composed of one-third representatives from the community with low income, one-third elected officials, and one-third private sector members. Board members play an important role in guiding the organization and assisting people currently living in poverty.
CAP-HC is an independent, nonprofit organization.

Interested in Serving on Our Board?
The primary functions of the Board include governance, financial oversight, advocacy, and fundraising. A Board member is expected to observe, listen, evaluate, and contribute to the process of Board decision-making. A Board member may serve for a maximum of five two-year terms (up to 10 years in total).
Estimated Monthly Time Commitment:
- Board meeting: 1.5 hours
- Committee meeting: 1 hour
- Meeting Preparation: 1-2 Hours
A few times a year, an additional 1-2 hours may be needed for surveys, evaluations, or additional meetings with staff and/or board members.
Location & Time: Meetings are currently held virtually via Zoom on the fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30-8pm.
