Board of Directors
Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County’s (CAP-HC’s) Board of Directors play an important role in guiding the organization and assisting people currently living in poverty. The Board is composed of three parts: one-third representatives from community members with low income, one-third elected officials, and one-third private sector members.

Serve On CAP-HC’s Board
Primary Function:
The primary functions of our Board of Directors include governance, financial oversight, advocacy, and fundraising. A Board member is expected to observe, listen, evaluate, and contribute to the process of Board decision-making.
A Board member may serve for a maximum of five two-year terms (up to 10 years in total).
Monthly Time Commitment:
Board Meeting: 1 hour
Committee Meeting: 1 hour
Meeting Preparation: 1-2 hours
Each year, board members may be asked to commit an additional 1-2 hours for surveys, evaluations, or additional meetings with staff members.
Location & Time:
Our meetings are held via Zoom on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30-8pm.
