Creating Pathways from Poverty to Prosperity
Poverty is a complex issue that requires multi-faceted solutions. At Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County (CAP-HC), we take a holistic, community-centered approach to our anti-poverty work. We start by asking our community what their needs are. Then we implement programs and build partnerships that help people address those needs and lift themselves out of poverty. Our suite of more than a dozen programs includes crisis services like Emergency Rental Assistance and Energy Assistance. And it also includes prosperity services like Employment Readiness and Homebuyer Services.
Between now and December 31, our goal is to raise $12,000 to create pathways from poverty to prosperity for people in Hennepin County.
When you make a one-time or monthly recurring to CAP-HC in any amount, you’re helping people stabilize and learn new skills and build assets so they can pave their path to prosperity. Thank you for your support!

Your Support Can Do So Much
Your gift can do so much for people with lower incomes:
- $25 helps provide someone with interview clothing so they can secure a living-wage job.
- $50 means a future homeowner can attend a Homebuyer Workshop so they can reach their homebuying goals.
- $100 protects a family from utility disconnection so they can have continuous, safe heat throughout the coldest months of the year.
- $500 helps a family avoid eviction and prevent homelessness.
